Welcome to the guide to Chelmsford pubs!

This is ChelmsfordPubs.com, a brand new site that has one aim and one aim only: to provide a no frills, easy to use guide for all of the public houses in and within walking distance of Chelmsford City Centre. The design is clean, simple and perfect for use on mobile phones when you’re out and about. The site is currently in soft launch and will be fully live from Spring 2013. TheĀ A-Z Guide and Map are now both available and individual pages for all the pubs listed are currently being added. Hopefully you will find it a useful resource and please do leave your comments about any of the pubs featured on the relevant pages.

ChelmsfordPubs.com Retrospective

The Pub of the Month is currently The Two Brewers on Springfield Road. Below is a picture of how the pub looked back in 1917. Every now and again ChelmsfordPubs.com will be bringing you classic photos of the pubs featured on the site so keep an eye out for them.

Judge Tindal’s has reopened

Following on from the news last month that Judge Tindal’s was being refurbished after being closed for over a year, it looks as if the pub has now reopened. This is great news and as soon as ChelmsfordPubs.com has visited the pub, the Judge Tindal’s page will be updated.

Site update

All pubs now have their own holding page and full details for each pub are continuously being added. The maps for each pub have been improved. They are now larger, show you more of the surrounding roads and allow you to get directions to the pub. This should greatly improve people’s ability to find the pub.

Pub update: The Alma has been changed to The Admiral J McHardy.

More pub details have been added

Full pub details have now been added for Riverside Inn, The Two Brewers, O’Connors, The Ale House and The Railway Tavern. More to follow over the coming days.
